Warm up exercises

At the beginning of every class it is important to calm the mind, gently warm the muscles and stretch the tendons that we are about to use when performing the forms.

In this video clip Mater Faye Yip leads you through a warm-up routine.

This routine contains all of the basic moves that I use in classes.

It also contains some that are more advanced.

I always lead my students gently through exercises that are carefully chosen to suit their level of fitness and expertise. So do not worry if some of these moves are beyond you at this stage. I am gentle with you!
