About me
My name is Nicola G. Day and I am a qualified, experienced, holistic therapist. I offer a wide range of treatments and classes in the West Midlands area.
My one-to-one holistic therapy sessions treat the whole person, not just the symptoms. A range of therapies are on offer which can help a wide variety of conditions including stress, depression, phobias, addictions, weight loss, smoking cessation and many more. Amongst the therapies offered is Reflexology, Hypnotherapy, Emo-Trance, EFT, Reiki, Crystal and Gem therapy, Auricular Acupuncture and Auriculotherapy.
I also run regular weekly Tai Chi and Qigong classes which are open to all levels of fitness and abilities. The positive beneficial effects of these two ancient Chinese arts have been well documented and scientifically proven.
My training, work experience and achievement in holistic therapies
I have been a practicing holistic therapist since 2005 and have helped many people achieve a new understanding of their conditions and a better quality of life by overcoming fears and phobias or learning to manage their lives or conditions more effectively. I have trained in the Midlands College of Natural Therapy, also know as Athena School of Natural Therapy and have qualifications from ITEC, Emotrance, EFT and The General Council for Hypnotherapy.
My training, work experience and achievement in Qigong and Tai Chi
My introduction to Tai Chi came while I was at Exeter University in 1989. I started practicing Cheng Man Ching's Yang Style Tai Chi with Angus Clark (who went on to found livingmovement.com).
In 2001 I began my association with the Deyin Taijiquan Institute. I began to practice under Masters Tary and Faye Yip - under the watchful eyes of Professor Li Deyin. I developed not only a knowledge and proficiency in the Tai Chi forms but also a deeper understanding of the relationship between the practice of Qigong and the practice of Tai Chi. Qigong develops skills in breath control, bodily strength and suppleness and it promotes a sense of inner strength and calm. These qigong benefits not only help in the practice of Tai Chi forms, but also promote general health, vitality and well-being.
For more detail on my journey into the Chinese arts, the accolades I have received and the qualifications I have gained along the way please read this section.
I currently offer Tai Chi and Qigong classes several time each week.
